Why I Read

Why do I read? Well, it's simple. I read because books stretch your mind and show what life would be like in all kinds of circumstances and perspectives. Books take you to worlds you could never go with out them. They give you a glimpse of almost infinite amounts of worlds and universes all with their own take on life's 'what-ifs'. What if there was a school for wizards? There's a book for that. What if teens had to fight to the death for the government? There's a book for that. Almost anything your mind can fathom, there's a book for it. Thought of something without a book? Why not write it down? Words are almost limitless and can convey anything. Isn't it amazing that little lines shaped into letters and arranged just so in a sentence can mean so much to so many? Little black lines can come together to form written languages that allow people to share thoughts, facts and stories that would be lost to the world if not written down. So, I guess that's the long and short of it. I read because books are awesome.
