After boarding the cruise ship, we'll start our tour in the ranches of Spain where we will get to pet and take care of sheep like shepherds. From there we'll tour Santiago's home town in Spain and explore the daily life of the average Spaniard before boarding our cruise to Egypt. Once we load off the ship, we'll stop at an Egyptian market like the one Santiago pit stopped at on his journey. Afterwards, we'll visit an Egyptian china shop similar to the one Santiago worked at where you can purchase souvenirs of glasses and tea. We'll continue our tour at an oasis where we can view the crystal waters and the shady palm trees that grow there year round and even go coconut picking! Afterwards, we will make our way to 'The Wonderful World of Alchemy' magic show where we can ooh and ah at the wonders of alchemy. We'll then move on to our main attraction, the great pyramids of Egypt! A herd of camels will be waiting to guide you through the pyramids and you can bask in the glory of the architecture that was so advanced for their time. As our tour comes to a close, we'll ride our steeds back to the ship and finish our tour back in Spain where we will admire the museum of Spanish treasure. At the end of the trip each guest will attend a meet-and-greet with the author of The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho. Each guest will receive a goody bag of treasure to remember their quest by. I think this idea will broaden the book's audience because it would draw in more attention to the book by gathering many people together. Some will have read the book and some will not have read it just yet. The people who know the story will more than likely talk about it and get the other passengers interested in getting their hands on it. This is especially true because the tour would take place during the summer when more people are willing to travel and would be interested in boarding a cruise.
